Terms of Use

Last updated: September 2026

1. Who is offering what to whom

Radltracker is provided by Emanuel Schmacher e.U., reachable at info@radltracker.app. These terms cover the app on iPhone and Android and the Radltracker Pro subscription.

The contract for the app itself and for any subscription is not concluded with me but with Apple or Google. These terms therefore only govern what applies between you and me; payment, invoices and refunds are handled by the respective store under its own terms.

2. What is free and what is not

Recording, dashboard, live map, ride list, statistics and GPX import are free permanently. Radltracker Pro unlocks the camera view, turn instructions, all dashboard layouts, up to five pages, voice announcements, PDF reports, the speed heatmap, the bike garage, Apple Health, colour themes and your own backgrounds.

I reserve the right to develop the feature set further. Features that are free today stay free — new features may be paid.

3. Subscription, term, cancellation

  • Prices: €39.99 per year or €6.99 per month for Austria and Germany. Elsewhere the App Store and Google Play convert into your local currency.
  • Free period: The yearly subscription starts with three free days. Cancel within that period and you are charged nothing.
  • Renewal: The subscription renews automatically for the same term unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Payment is taken within the last 24 hours of the current period.
  • Cancellation: You cancel in the store, not in the app — on iPhone under Settings → your name → Subscriptions, on Android in Google Play → Profile → Payments and subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; amounts already paid are not refunded pro rata.

4. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content and digital services under Austrian distance-selling law. It only lapses early if you expressly consented to immediate performance, acknowledged that you thereby lose the right, and the store confirmed this to you.

Because the contract for Radltracker Pro is concluded with Apple or Google, you exercise the withdrawal there; refunds are in every case handled by the store you purchased through.

5. Safety on the road

Radltracker is a measuring instrument and an aid to orientation, not a substitute for paying attention. Operate the app while stopped. Look at the road while riding, not at the screen. The camera view shows a live image with your route drawn onto it — it does not detect obstacles, other road users or traffic signs.

The traffic law of your country applies, not what the app displays. A suggested route may run over paths that are closed, impassable or not open to bicycles.

6. Accuracy of the readings

Position, speed, distance and elevation come from GPS and your device's sensors. These values carry deviations, particularly among tall buildings, in tunnels and under dense tree cover. Calories and power are computed from a physical model using your weight, height and bike — they are estimates, not measurements. They are not suitable for sports-medical or official purposes.

7. Your data

Your rides live on your device, not on a server of mine. Backing them up and moving them is up to you — through your device's backup or the GPX export. If you uninstall the app, the data is gone and I cannot restore it. Details in the privacy policy.

8. Liability

I am liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under product liability law. For ordinary negligence I am liable only for breach of material contractual obligations, limited to the typically foreseeable damage. Any further liability is excluded.

The app is developed with due care, but without any assurance of uninterrupted availability or freedom from defects. Map and routing data come from Apple or Google; I cannot vouch for their correctness.

9. What you may not do

Reverse engineering, modifying or redistributing the app, or circumventing the subscription's protection mechanisms, is not permitted. For your own rides, your own analyses and exporting your own data you need no permission — that is expressly intended.

10. Changes

If these terms change materially, the new version appears here with a new date. For a running subscription, the version in force at the time of purchase applies until the end of the paid period.

11. Governing law

Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025. I am neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
